As most brewers do, they started out homebrewing in the garage over 10 years ago and have since spent countless hours researching, experimenting and evolving their expertise over time. Brandon spent much of his career as a Network Engineer and left his engineering post in 2018 to help lead the effort of starting Coastal Fermentory. Brandon spent years overseas in Belgium where he developed his love of beer which planted the desire to start a brewery. He has been instrumental in the brewing operations at Coastal and is always focused on the next steps for developing the best brewery.

Mike Reppert was a homebrewer for over 10 years prior to Coastal opening its doors. A hop nut, Mike spends a lot of time researching how to make the best IPAs among other styles to help propel Coastal brewing operations and appeal to your taste buds. Having worked as an engineer at Newport News Shipbuilding, he loves the technical and scientific sides of brewing. Mike’s dream of starting a brewery came to fruition in 2020.

David is an Electrical Engineer by trade and an avid beer enthusiast…also by trade. David homebrewed with the Coastal crew for many years and has been instrumental in developing the brewery. David spends a lot of his time at the brewery focusing on business operations and growth.
